Abstract


There are three main problems facing entrepreneurial organization today, i.e. customers, competition, and changes. In order to deal with three issues, in the old economic era, organizations are generally adapted by restructuring and reengineering in response to business environments changes. While in the new economic era, marked by the global business environment, crisis, and inter-connectivity, entrepreneurial organization can survive by building organizational agility. Organizational agility is a new way for entrepreneurial organizations to deal with the changing business environment that is very fast and turbulent. This article aims to provide new insights in the field of entrepreneurship studies on the factors that can increase the agility of entrepreneurial organization. The discussion presented in three parts, namely history, definitions, and enabler of organizational agility. This article also proposes organizational agility model in perspective Dynamic Capabilities and Knowledge Based View.
